Originally from Long Island,
NY, I have lived in Southern
California since I was 9 yrs old.
I grew up in the punk rock surf and skateboard culture of the
1980’s. This gave me a strong DIY mentality and a healthy suspicion of the main stream. Suprisingly, I attended Pepperdine
University, which is a small Christian
university in Malibu.After
graduating with a degree in advertising,
I dedicated myself to
artistic self-expression through music and visual art.
I lived in
L.A., held down a crummy job and played edgey music in small clubs. At
the same time, I was creating brightly colored abstract paintings and
b&w, quirky illustrations. In 2003, I found myself traveling
around the country showcasing my visual art as part of the Lollapalooza
Tour. Although a great experience, some ill-advised decisions led to the joys of
bankruptcy. After climbing out of that hole, I moved to Long Beach,
CA, where still I live and create. I like to cruise around town on my bike, enjoy an occasional surf at Bolsa Chica and snowboard in the local mountains.
